Do you know what your skin type is? Are you sure...? In my 12+ years of working in the beauty industry, probably only about 40-50% of my clients were initially correct about their skin type. In addition, about 60% of my clients were using their skincare incorrectly! Yup, so if you're reading this you might also be doing the same.
So let's start by naming Skin Types vs Skin Conditions.

Skin conditions may be present in ANY skin type. For example, you can have topically dry skin and also have black heads. You can also have oily skin and have rosacea. No matter your skin type/conditions, when it comes to skincare, you always want to start your skincare layering with a water-based/oil-in-water product. Whether that'd be a toner or a serum, both would be better.
The Good News!
Skin types can be easily manipulated, or controlled, with the correct skincare routine. Visiting a well established esthetician/skincare professional will help tremendously!
The not so good news..
Skin conditions take more effort and consistency to normalize. Your esthetician/beauty professional can help you with that and in some cases you may need to visit a dermatologist for additional help. Some skin types may develop into a skin condition in the absence of a good skincare routine. These are examples of SOME of the more common Skin Conditions.
