Aftercare

Tattoo & Permanent Makeup
DO's
-
For the first 4 hours: pat the procedure area with a paper towel or lint-free soft gauze every 30 minutes to remove excess fluid.
-
After 24 hours: you may gently wash the area with cold-warm water using very mild unscented soap on the area.
-
Days 1-5: massage Mad Rabbit Tattoo Soothing Gel at least twice a day. This will help with inflammation and dryness.
-
Days 6-14: apply Mad Rabbit Tattoo Soothing Gel and layer Mad Rabbit Tattoo Balm Stick over top to soothe the tattoo itch, and lock in moisture.
-
First 1-6 weeks: always apply sunscreen until the area has fully healed to prevent sunburn and fading. I recommend Think Sport SPF 50.

DONT's
-
Do not immediately touch the procedure area with your fingers as they may have bacteria on them and create an infection. Please always ensure your hands are clean before making contact with the skin.
-
Do not use products that contain fragrance as they may cause irritation to your tattooed area.
-
Avoid extreme sweating, swimming, tanning, hot sauna, and Botox for at least 14 days.
-
Avoid laser hair removal, facials, or chemical peels for at least 4-6 weeks.
-
Avoid using products that contain AHA’s on the procedure area as they will fade the color (Example: Glycolic, Lactic Acids)
